Northumbria University delivered their Junior Evolve programme, Student Star, to 40 of our Yr8 pupils. Student star is a giant board game that subtly introduces the concept of Higher Education using interactive team challenges. Delivered in schools by current undergraduate students, the game covers topics ranging from finance to social life.

The boys were split into 4 teams and made their way around the giant board by answering questions relating to higher education and in particular Northumbria University. All team members had the opportunity to answer questions and earn tokens along the way. The team with most tokens at the end of the game were the winners! The boys thoroughly enjoyed participating in the event and left with a good idea of what University life was all about.
