Another year of EXCELLENT GCSE results 2015-16!

Students, Staff and Governors at St Aidan’s Catholic Academy are celebrating an excellent sets of examination results this year at GCSE.

GCSE results at St Aidan’s Catholic Academy bucked the trend for boys nationally with 78% achieving an A*-C grade in English and 78% achieving an A*- C grade in Math’s. In English 85% of our students made three Levels of Progress and a large number of students achieved the top A* and A grades in this and many other subjects.

Other key headlines include:

Percentage of students achieving a grade C or above in both English and Maths: 66%

Progress 8: +0.04

Attainment 8: 5.12 (C)

The Academy has made an outstanding improvement in attainment this Academic Year and we would like to congratulate all of our students and thank their parents for all of their support this year.

 

At Advanced Level:

Y13 Value Added Score was +0.02 which was in line with National Average.

The average grade achieved at Y13  was 107.3 which equates to a Grade C.  (Based on 143 entries).

96.5% of our students were successful in moving on to their chosen destination. Of the 48 students who applied to university, 46 were accepted.
