On Thursday 23rd March 2017 a group of our boys went along to an initial meeting at Pop Recs a very cool venue to find out about Sunderland’s bid to become City of Culture in 2021 and why it is important for our young people to be involved in this exciting project .

The boys joined with other students from across the city and brainstormed their fantastic ideas of how they would like to see the future of Sunderland develop in the next four years .

Some of the older boys volunteered to become Ambassadors as part of Team21 and will act as champions for the project gain skills and experience and be included in the final bid . They will also have the opportunity to complete bronze or silver arts award which are an accredited qualification .

The atmosphere was buzzing and the night was complete when there was a delivery of delicious pizzas!!
